Adobe Bridge is a free file browser for creative assets, showing thumbnails and rich previews for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Substance 3D, camera RAW and video files, with metadata panels, collections and filter-based search. DAAAM is a $69 one-time macOS app that reads what is inside those files and makes them searchable by description.

Bottom line
Bridge is free, needs nothing more than an Adobe account, and does a real job well. It previews formats almost nothing else opens, batch renames, edits IPTC and XMP in place, and hands files straight to Camera Raw. DAAAM replaces none of that. What Bridge cannot do is tell you anything you did not already write down: its filters and Find dialog work on filenames, dates, ratings and keywords you typed yourself. Adobe has demonstrated Sensei auto-tagging in a Bridge panel but never released it. Point DAAAM at the same folders and the harbour shot at dusk surfaces without a single keyword.
